Nornalup is a small hamlet on the South Coast of Western Australia, 108 kms west of Albany. Norne is Noongar for "black snake", so we live in the "Place of the Tiger Snake". The Nornalup Inlet has a long maritime history and was a base for sealers in the early 1800s. The iron barque "Mandalay" was wrecked on the beach which now bears its name, just west of Nornalup Inlet. The Nornalup Shanty Crew have only been together for a few months and are drawn together by their love of singing and good times.
